'Let us not give up meeting together...' Hebrews 10:25
The women's ministry at St. Johns Church is committed to helping women of all ages connect with each other as they pursue Jesus Christ. There are a variety of ways to become involved. Tuesday At Ten (TAT) is a group of women of all ages that meet in the new St John's Hall for fellowship, ministry and prayer (on Tuesday mornings at ten!) Childcare in the form of a creche is provided during this time. The session finishes at 11.30am. This term the group is studying the 'Face to Face with God.' All women welcome.
Weekly TAT update from Judith Ironmonger:
Thanks to Sharon for leading us so “joyfully” this morning. This morning we looked at chapter 8 of Face to Face with God, “Joy-The Reward.”
Hebrews 12:2 “Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross”. Jesus lived in perfect obedience, both in motive and action. He took delight in doing His Father’s will. Jesus paid the ultimate price and received the ultimate reward – joy.
There is a price to pay for following Christ and there is also a reward for following Him.
1 Thessalonians5:16-18
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Next week, we will meet for T@t at 10am up at Heather and Malcolm’s farm. Please let me know if you need directions.
We will share a thought together before we have fun cleaning. You are of course welcome to have an early coffee at the hall and then another up at the farm!
There will be not T@t on Tuesday 1st June as it is half-term.
Natalie will be joining us on 8th June to lead us in sung worship.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you are planning to come on the women’s day retreat on Saturday 5th June.
We run occasional local day Retreats (the next one, as above, is in June) and have held 3 bi-annual Retreats at the Oast Houses in Kent. The next weekend Retreat has been booked for 11th-13th March 2011.
